November 20th, is Dia de la Revolucion (Day of the Revolution).
This holiday celebrates the beginning of the 1910 Revolution in Mexico which resulted in the overthrow of Dictator Porfirio Diaz. After the overthrow, a new constitution was formed in 1917 and Mexico freely elected a President Alvaro Obregon in 1920.
There will be a parade starting in the Puerto Morelos Town Square at 7 a.m.
In observance of this national holiday, Mayan Riviera Properties will be closed Monday, November 21, 2011.
