Just a reminder to set your clocks in Quintana Roo ahead 1 hour tonight before going to bed. As of 2 Quintana Roo will be in the Eastern Time Zone.

They are also not participating in Daylight Savings Time. So, the time should be the same year-round.

CFE Planned Power Outage Postponed

CFE came by our office today to let us know that Friday's planned power outage has been postponed. When we asked what date it was being rescheduled for, he did not know but said we'd receive another notice.

However, other business owners were informed that it would be next Friday.\

CFE Notice of Power Outage - Friday, Jan 23rd

We received the following notice from CFE.

It states that power in Puerto Morelos will be out for scheduled repairs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, January 23rd. The notice states that this outage will affect the following Manzanas in Puerto Morelos: 1, 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, & 13.

Remember that without electricity the water pumps also do not run. This will leave many properties without water during this time period as well.

Time Changing in Q. Roo on FEBRUARY 1st!!!

About a month ago, I posted about a permanent time change in the State of Quintana Roo that had been passed by the legislature. I had assumed that it would change in the spring with the daylight savings time.

But, instead, it will be changing on February 1st, 2015!!

So, on the evening of January 31st before heading to bed, set your clocks ahead 1 hour!
