Guide to the 2012 Celebrations: The end of a Mayan era

Mark your calendars!  December 21, 2012 is the end of the Mayan Long Era that has lasted the last 5,125 years.

Of course, there are the "Doomsdayers" who say it will be the last day of recorded history.  Mexico is hedging its bets that it isn't.  They have lots planned in 2012, and there is a new guidebook to festivities that Mexico has planned to celebrate the end of the era!  There are lots of great opportunities in the coming year to celebrate!  As if you need an excuse to see more of Mexico??!!??

I am sure that our local bookstore, Alma Libre, will have copies!  For those of you who aren't getting down to Puerto Morelos in time to pick one up there, it is also available on Amazon.

If you haven't traveled in Mexico, I encourage you to use the 2012 celebrations as a great excuse to start.  The entire country is truly magical.
