Mexico To Enforce Law that Prevents Pets in Airline Cabins

For those who fly with their animals to Mexico: Be aware that many U.S. airlines are beginning to enforce long standing Mexican laws that prohibit pets from flying in airplane cabins.  Pets will be required to fly in the hold area under the plane.

Airlines say that the changes are at the request of Mexican authorities.  However, critics say that the law is being misinterpreted and that the airlines are using it as an opportunity to charge extra for pets.
