Huffington Post recently described Puerto Morelos as the "poster child for a sleepy Mexican fishing village" in their article "Puerto Morelos: Cancun's Quiet Little Neighbor". (For those of you who are Puerto Morelos Old-Timers, can you believe Puerto Morelos is featured in the Huffington Post?)

Local news recently reported that the newly crowned Miss Puerto Morelos would be promoting Puerto Morelos as a destination for cultural events.

Local papers also reporting that the Cancun government is poised to give Puerto Morelos an infrastructure facelift. While the article is thin on details, I'd like to think that underground electricity is somewhere in the plan?? (...or maybe not.)
