Yucatan Train Project Derailed

Plans for the high-speed train that would have potentially connected Chetumal/Merida/Mayan Riviera/Campeche has been scrapped. Check out Globe and Mail news article here.

Budget cuts due to low oil prices seem to be reason for axing the project.

Bummer! Maybe they'll pull it off of the shelf in the future!

CFE notice for February 11th

Ok, about 2 weeks ago, CFE passed out a notice that power would be shut off for maintenance. The day before, they cancelled the scheduled work.

Today, we've received another notice that they plan to turn off power on February 11, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The manzanas that will be affected are listed in the notice below (which can be made larger by clicking on the image).
