Fishing in Isla Blanca, Mexico

Today, we headed to Isla Blanca (north of Cancun) for some fishing. Our guide, Edwin of Cancun Fly Fishing Express, is fantastic. He lives to fish, and he is great with the kids.

We have a little boat that we keep docked in Isla Blanca, but with all four of us, plus Edwin, things get tight.  So, he offered his larger boat to take out for the day. As always, we had a great time.

The fish really weren't biting -- probably the north winds we are having. Nonetheless, our day was filled with spotted eagle rays, flying stingrays, flamings, cranes, ducks, tons of other awesome birds that I can't name, and sea turtles.

It was a great day on the water!

Have you ever been fishing while here?  Whether you fish in the open ocean, or spin/flyfish on the flats of Isla Blanca, it won't disappoint!

Easton and Caden

Easton loves to fish -- almost as much as his big brother!
